The January 2012 edi tion of Top Gear Magazine f eatured a preview of what to expect in series 18.[6] It in cluded a piece w here Richar d Hammond drives a NASCAR safety car for a r eal race, later g oing on to drive an a ctual NASCAR race car . The magazine also fea tured a part of s ome of the p ower tests to expect, i ncluding Jere my C larkson d rivin g a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Edition, a Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster and a Maser ati GranTu rism o MC Stradale. Hammond meanwhile will drive a 201 2 BMW M5 F10, and May will have a Vauxhall Corsa Nü rburgring Edition. Another feat ure is going to China to te st drive Chin ese cars, Ita ly in 3 s uper-cars, Lamborghini Aventador, Noble M600 and a McLaren MP4-12C. Also James May is taking a trip to USA to test sp orts hybrid supe rcar Fisker Karma, meet AC/D C frontm an Brian Joh nson and drive his 1928 Bentl ey Vanden Pl as LeMans T ourer. A ccording to Top G ear Executive Producer Andy Wilman, Clarkson, Hammond and May are going to nor thern Sweden as wel l, where they will ra ce the new Ferrari FF across a Silverstone Circuit-shaped ice track.
