TV series). It has subsequent ly been released t wice on DVD by different pu blishe rs. In t he video release of the movie, the bac kground canned laug hter (pre-recorded lau ghter added late r to the soundtrack), i s absent. Overview Differences between Get Smart, Again! and T he Nude Bo mb The film is not as well known a s the earlier theatri cal rele ase, The Nude Bomb, also based on Get Smar t, but wa s be tter rece ived by fans of the original program. Unli ke T he Nude Bomb, which f eature d only the characters of Smart, The Chief (with Dana El car r eplacing th e deceased Edward Platt), Ag ent 13 (Dave Ketchu m in the seri es, portrayed by Joey Fo rman in The Nude Bomb, w ho had pla yed th e ch aracter Harry Hoo i n the series) and Lar rabee, Ge t Smart, Again! featured all of the sur viving original cast repr isin g their rol es. The tone and feel of Ge t Smart, Ag ain! we re also closer to that of the or iginal series. Get Smart, Again! w as written and produced by Leona rd Stern, who was a producer of t he original series. One element of the Nude Bomb ignored comp letely was th e renamin g of CON TROL as P ITS in the ear lier film ; although as CONTROL is sai d to h ave disba nded in the 1970 s, it's not impossible for both CONTROL and PITS to exist with in the continuity of the franchise. Barbara Feldon& #39;s charact er, 99, m akes a reference to T.H.R.U.S.H. , the evil organization in The Man From U.N.C.L.E., a sho w on which Feldon guest- starred. Theme music Get Smart, Again! also rep rises the TV program 's original theme music and openin g credit sequence, which were a bsent from The N ude Bomb. In this case, however , the corri dors were covered in cobwebs and the phone-booth e levator that led to CONTROL headquarters worked in reverse, causing Sm art to be thrown to the top of th e boot h. S ynopsis Maxwell Smart, acting as a protocol officer since CONTROL was disba nded in the early 1970s, is reacti vated as a counte rintelligence agent b y Commander Drury (Kenneth Mars) o f the United State s Int elligence Agency. KAOS, long considered defunct, ha s been revitalized by a corporate takeover. Its first s cheme i nvolves tu rning a forg otten American scientis t and using his weather control machi ne to extort $250 b illion US doll ars from the United States Government . Drury, convinced that o nly Smart has the experti se to combat KAOS, gives him carte bla nche t o reactiv ate f ormer CONTROL a gents to assist him in his task. Along w ith Dr ury's bumblin g aide, Bea mish (St eve Levitt), Smart recruit s Larrabee (who, bel ieving that he w as under orders from Richard N ixon to s tay at his post until relieved, has been living in his off ice in th e now-abandoned CON TROL h eadquarter s tending his of fice plants), Age nt 13, Hymi e the Robot (now employed as a c rash test dummy) and ultimately, his wife 99 (Barbar a Feld on) to find the s ecurity leak that allo wed the scientis t to def ect, locate the weather machine and di sarm it . They are opposed by KAOS mol es within the US IA, who are able to predict Max' s ev ery move with the aid of stolen copies of 99's unpu blished memoi rs. The visible head of the KAOS s cheme is r evealed to be Max9;s o ld nemesis , Siegfri ed, but he is merely the agent of a higher exe cutive whom even he has never met. This higher p ower is finally revealed as Nicholas Demente (Harold Gould), 9939;s publi sher, who intends not only to extort the m oney but a lso to create weather that will keep people eternally ind oors and interfere with t elevision reception, fo rcing mill ions to entertain themselves by buying Demente's books and publicat ions. Comedic style The s cript is littered with typical M axwell Smart verbal gags, an d large portions of the plo t ser ve only as set ups for Get Smart!-style sight gags (such as a duel between M ax and a KAOS hitman using remote con trolled file cabine t dr awers). Th e film al so features the array of bizarre gadgetry and political satire th at we re hallmarks of the original series. The cone of silenc e has been superse ded by "Hover Cover" where a meeting is h eld on a rooftop with three helicopters hov ering overh ead. The failu re of Hover Cover leads to the deve lopment of & quot ;The Hall Of Hush",a soundproof room wher e words print out silentl y in mid ai r, a success at firs t until the words be gin to print forward, backwa rd and on to p of each oth er. Max chang es the we ll known quote "Dr. Liv ingsto ne I Presume" to " Dr. Hottentot I Presume". 1995 revival The r elative success of the film prompted the devel opment of a short -lived 1995 weekly seri es on FOX, also titled Get Smart, with Don Adams and Barbara Feldon reprising their characters as the ir bumbling son , Zach (Andy Dick), becomes CONTROL' s star agen t. 原班人馬啊,好想看。TAT 按规矩,两人每收一个人的好处,就要往外掏点货,偏偏他们 是一个一个飞升 的,总不好意思 把说过的消息,再给他们 来一遍,没办法下,待 到文遥飞升,人家 又给他们摆了一席,两人把 该说的都说了,只能跟 他们八卦纯阳宗宗主被人 伏杀的事了。
